On the Town

Three sailors--Gabey (Gene Kelly), Chip (Frank Sinatra) and Ozzie (Jules Munshin)--are let loose in New York City on a 24-hour leave. On a subway, Gabey sees a poster of "Miss Turnstiles of the Month"--a woman named Ivy Smith (Vera-Ellen). Thinking she's a high society girl, the trio spends the day looking for her. Along the way they run into a cab driver, Hilde (Betty Garrett), who is attracted to Chip, and a gorgeous anthropologist named Claire (Ann Miller). Song highlights: "New York, New York", "A Day In New York", "Main Street", "Prehistoric Man", "You're Awful", "I'm Feeling Like I'm Not Out Of Bed", "Come Up To My Place" and "Count On Me".

Born at the Water’s Edge
Born at The Water's Edge, a 45-minute Stony Creek History documentary will be presented for free at the Legacy Theatre. Featuring interviews with "Creekers," and individuals who provide insight into how the village of Stony Creek has evolved, we learn about the quarry workers, the vacationers, the actors and the artists who made Stony Creek their home. Enjoy beautiful drone shots of the Thimble Islands and take a look at the architecture, the Stony Creek Fife and Drum Corps, and learn about those who make their living off the water.
Directed by Dana Springer who grew up in Stony Creek. Executive produced by Mary Lee Weber, and Emmy-award winning Mike Zaritheny was the cinematographer on the project.
